Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) Measurement with a PIC Microcontroller

Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) Measurement with a PIC Microcontroller
A Microchip Technology PIC microcontroller can be an accurate solution for calculating the timing of a pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal due to its architecture. With this design, you can measure high and low pulse durations, as well as the period, all with the resolution of 1 µs for pulse durations from 10 to 65,535 µs for PWM signals with frequencies in the range of 7.63 Hz to 50 kHz.

May 3, 2024 | #589    Measure Gamma Rays with a Photodiode: Radiation Detector Using a BPW34 The first device that springs to mind when thinking about measuring radioactivity is the Geiger-Müller tube. However, these counter tubes can be difficult to find and expensive; and, even if you do manage to get hold of one, you will still need to find a way to generate its operating voltage of several hundred volts. It is less well known that even a humble photodiode such as the BPW34 can be used to detect X-rays and gamma radiation.   more...     The Andonstar AD210, an Affordable Digital Microscope with a 10.1" Display The Andonstar AD210 is an entry-level model digital microscope with a large 10.1...
