Measuring the AC powerline frequency is a proxy for determining the match between the supply of and demand for power in the national grid and therefore an important indicator of the status of the AC line supply. The monitoring device described here detects tiny deviations in frequency with a range of just ±0.2 Hz, allowing you to keep an eye on the load on the grid from any convenient socket.
