What is Ohmify?

In almost all the emails I send out, I mention Ohmify.

But what is it?

I guess a good description of it would be an electronics academy.

A place to practice and become better at building electronic gadgets.

Even if you are starting from scratch.

Our members have access to a huge library with online courses:

You can learn soldering, robot-building, Arduino, musical circuits, synthesizers, LED-based projects, and much more.

But at the heart of the academy is the community forum. Because everyone gets stuck from time to time. And the best way to get "unstuck" is to ask for help.

In the forum, you can get help if you are having problems understanding something from a course.

Or if you need help with a project you're working on.

Or if you want to learn how something works.

Or if you want to show off a cool project you just did.

Or if you want to get inspired by looking at cool projects that others have done.

Most of us don't have a community of people interested in electronics close by. So many of our members have said that it's nice to have a place online to ask questions and chat with people about projects or topics.

May 3, 2024 | #589    Measure Gamma Rays with a Photodiode: Radiation Detector Using a BPW34 The first device that springs to mind when thinking about measuring radioactivity is the Geiger-Müller tube. However, these counter tubes can be difficult to find and expensive; and, even if you do manage to get hold of one, you will still need to find a way to generate its operating voltage of several hundred volts. It is less well known that even a humble photodiode such as the BPW34 can be used to detect X-rays and gamma radiation.   more...     The Andonstar AD210, an Affordable Digital Microscope with a 10.1" Display The Andonstar AD210 is an entry-level model digital microscope with a large 10.1...
